How the ad listing will be displayed to the consumer on the island category page:

Category Listing Field Definitions

• Company, will display the logo and if the company has a web site the logo will also be a "hotlink" to a web site page (URL) of the company’s choice. The maximum logo size is 224w x 100h pixels. Larger logos will be resized to fit. The logo will be retrieved from the website indicated (if available) or the image may be sent as an attachment by email to Indicate the name of the company in the email to match the image to the online order form.

• Discount Info, will be a few words of the company’s choice (35 characters). Examples are:

• 10% off a product/service
• $10 off a product/service
• 10% off all products/services
• $10 Off Coupon for special activity
• Two meals for the price of one
• $10 Off on Mondays
• June Only, 10% off 'company' brand
• See More Info for details

• More Info, will link to a separate web page created specifically for the company that will describe more about the kama’aina discount being offered. This page can be a permanent offer, or it can be updated periodically to change the details of the kama’aina discount offer.

• Phone Number, will list the phone numbers that the consumer should use to contact the company that is advertising.

• Web Site URL, will provide the link to the company’s general web site. This url will also be linked from the logo in 'company'.

Detail Ad Page Field Definitions

• Left Column, will display the logo and if the company has a web site the logo will also be a "hotlink" to a web site page (URL) of the company’s choice. The maximum logo size is 350 x 350 pixels. Larger logos or images will be resized to fit. The logo and descriptive image will be retrieved from the website indicated (if available) or the images may be sent by email to order@kamaainadiscount.com. Indicate the name of the company in the email to match the image to the online order form.

• Center Column: Phone Number, will list the phone numbers that the consumer should use to contact the company that is advertising.

• Center Column: Location, will provide the location of the property/ activity/ shop, etc. if applicable.

• Right Column: Discount Info Title, will be a few words of the company’s choice (35 characters). The discount title will be taken from the listing page.

• Right Column: Discount Detail Information, will describe more about the kama’aina discount being offered by this company. This page can be more or less permanent, or it can be a page that is updated periodically because the company is changing the kama’aina discount offer. The start and end dates of the offer can be included if applicable.

• Standard Yearly Listing Service – Includes the advertising company's logo, a brief discount description, a "More Info" page that will contain the company's logo and up to 100 words describing the discount offer, the company's phone numbers, and if desired a link to the company's web site. The cost is $200 per year to advertise on one island or $500 per year to advertise on all islands.. A revised ad may be submitted monthly for no additional charge.  A maintenance fee will only apply if a company desires to make significant design changes to an existing advertisement. A quote is required. Minor changes, e.g., to ad copy, dates, phone number, address, etc. can be made via email with no charge.

• Banner Advertising Rates - This is an additional way of advertising on Kama’aina Discount.com. The advertising company must provide the banner ad in a .jpg, .gif or .png format not to exceed 26KB. We also offer custom banner design for an additional charge if you'd like us to develop one for you. Call us or send an email to request a price quote.

  Island Home Page is the first page viewed when an island is clicked from the Home Page or from the menu buttons on any other page.

   

  Product Group page is the first page viewed when a product category is clicked from the Island Home Page or any other product group.

  All banner ads alternate between advertisers. Minor changes to text such as ad content, phone number, address, start and end dates, etc. are made without charge. Major changes to banner ads will be quoted for the merchant’s approval.   • Multi Ad Discount, a 10% discount will apply to all ads if a company commits to multiple promotional and/or multiple banner ads, such as advertising on additional islands or advertising multiple products/services on the same island.

• Kama'aina Discount.com is promoted to Hawaii residents through various advertising mediums to encourage active growth in the number of users. It has been mentioned by Joe Moore on Channel 2 News. Advertising has appeared in MidWeek, The Honolulu Advertiser and several smaller publications. Direct email promotions to Hawaii businesses and residents have also helped to spread the word. In addition, we have links to www.kamaainadiscount.com from a variety of Hawaii-based Internet sites as well as the more popular search engines such as Google, AltaVista and Yahoo.
